Sylvester Stallone has a mighty impressive CV when it comes to action blockbusters. Just look at the Rambo movies and the more recent Expendables franchise. Stallone also showed his dramatic acting chops in the Rocky movies.
Stallone has kept himself busy in action movies in recent years such as Escape Plan and its sequel, Bullet to the Head, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and more.
The Italian Stallion will be turning 73 next year and yet he still plans to kick some behind as Rambo. The aging action star won’t be calling it quits and his recent prep video for the next Rambo proves that. Sly has been defying age for the last decade or so to prove he still can break bones and shoot bad guys.
The Expendables franchise brought back all our favorite action stars of the 80s and 90s and it was great to see most of them still in great shape. Harrison Ford, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Wesley Snipes all featured in the franchise.
Stallone also played a major supporting role in the two Creed movies that were a spin-off of the Rocky franchise. The next Rambo movie could be the last one in this role and it is possible he bids farewell to the character on a high note.
It was Rambo that shaped his action movie career for the last three decades. The last Rambo movie was released in 2008, a decade ago when Stallone was turning 62. In the past 10 years he continued acting in action movies and fans can’t wait for him to return to one of his most beloved roles.
